Weekly Learning:
  • I learnt an awful lot this week about managing functionality in UE4 – specifically relating to variables, events, functions, loops, branches and comparison statements. Most of this learning was understanding how Blueprints relates to traditional object-oriented programming, the “do’s and don’ts” if you will. (Example: loops in UE4 do not support delays)
  • I also have a more thorough understanding of UE4 actors and the fundamentals of relative vs world location and rotation.
